OuThe Ball/Bear Pit is one of our favorite places to play. Some children have actually fallen asleep in the ball pit after playing. There are over 500 little bears and 1000's of balls. The Play Kitchen is a wonderful place to learn how to become a chef some day. The Magnet Board and Chalk Board are where they share their creative sides. Our Rocking Horse and teeter totter are lots of fun. There are lots of ride on toys inside as well as outside. The lego table is where they can build tall towers or ever create camping and zoo stories.
Never a dull moment at Guylaine's Playhouse Day Care & Preschool!!
There is a Train Table, Jeep and Dora Ship. There are blocks and balls and cars ..oh my. We even have Batman and Spiderman, lots of dress-up and costumes to amuse all. So much play will make them fall asleep anywhere.
There are climb on playscapes with slides and tubes indoors. We have a castle to hide in and more slides and towers. We have a trampoline and indoor sandbox. We have the activity table and bouncy horse too. We have our "Art Wall of Fame" where all our arts and crafts get hung for the month with each child's name.
And then there's the outdoors. Lots and lots and lots of toys. Our playscape consist of three playscapes joined together. Our wonderful tube slide, enough swings for eight children and ride-on toys galore! They can play basketball or tetherball or play a game of golf. They can play in the sandbox or play in one of the four playhouses. There are see saws and marry-go-rounds and a super sized tractor tire to climb on or hide in.
Climbing
This year Jack is able to climb the large tractor tire all by himself. He was very excited to know he grew alot since last summer.
Your child could enjoy the Bounce House too. Rain or shine. We set it up outside or in the garage on rainy days.
There's always so much to do here. A Busy Child is a Happy Child!!!! And they'll sleep well at night too. Families will receive a Special Photo Cd for Christmas of all the activities their child has participating in for the year. It shows you that the children here are not just sitting around all day doing nothing. They are kept busy and happy all day and every day.
NEW!!! "Our Caring Tree"
This tree is our Caring Tree. Each and every time I spot a child being kind and doing something special or just being super polite, they get to place a leaf
up on the tree.
We sat around our tree during circle time and talked about what it means to be kind. How many ways can you think of being kind. They all came up with some wonderful ideas. In the past, I have been giving out "Surprise Kindness Awards" certificates for being kind.
We hope to fill this tree quickly. I will keep you updated on how we are doing. We are starting on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
We have leaves as well as birds & butteflies to add to our tree.
Today, on our first day, we were able to add 1 leaf per child. Everyone was very excited and kept insisting that everything they did today deserved a caring leaf. Each leaf added will have the child's name on it. Dominick was our first leaf for our caring tree. While getting a mask during dress up today he wanted to give the first Green mask to his friend Will because Green is Will's favorite color. That was very sweet Dominick and definitely deserving of a leaf for our Caring Tree. Putting others before yourself is very thoughtful. Good Job Dominick! The other children followed by letting a friend go first or getting their friend a book.
As of May 11th the tree is growing quickly. We now have 38 leaves on which means the children have done 38 very nice and kind things. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful group of children here in my day care.
As of July 5th, we are doing Wonderful with the caring tree. The leaves are being added daily. Our student count is low during the summer but we will get busy again in September.
This had been a great boost for the children. They are so excited to help others and are very quick to let me know when that is happening. :)
I love these kids. They are so good! Good job Moms & Dads.
August 3rd, we are still adding to our tree. There are only a few kids for the summer but they are being very good and super kind and caring.
September 12, and our tree is very full now. We will be adding more around the top and edges and we are about to add colored leaves for fall. We have some very caring children here.
I am so lucky to get to spend time with these wonderful children! I Love My Job!
In October we are now adding colored leaves for fall. It makes the tree look so pretty.
WOW! Look at our tree now. Its January now and we have owls and birds in our tree. Look how full it has gotten.

We have a new Caring Tree. I painted the day care rooms over and had to take down the tree I made. We moved it to a new wall and the tree looks Great!
Our day care bedroom in equipped with cots and porta cribs
With glow in the dark stars on the walls and some soft music , they fall asleep comfortable and relaxed. Each child gets to pick which bedding they want each week and as they get older, help make their beds when they wake up.
One bed is designated to each child. They get to pick their favorite sleepy bear to cuddle with or they can bring one in from home. I have a TV Monitor so I can keep an eye on them while they sleep and hear everyting as well.
I check on them every 10-15 mins.

The bathroom is located in between the bedroom and the toy room. Not far to go when potty training starts.
Halloween is always a fun time of the year. This year we had a Cookie Monster, a Sunshine Carebear, SpiderMan, Woody, a Lady Bug and an adorable Pumpkin.
We did our annual costume march around the neighborhood. They have to bring the Loudest musicaly instrument they can find and make as much noise as possible when we walk the neighborhood. They love to make noise.
Santa Clause is coming to town.......
Well to my house at least. Santa comes to visit us at Christmas each year.
Here is a picture with Paityn who just loves Santa very much. Santa brings presents for each child and loves to get his picture taken with each child too.

Who needs snow to make snow angels, we don't! I just had snow flakes hanging from the ceiling and the kids had fun making snow angels indoors under the snow flakes. Indoor Exercising. Having fun, laughing and Exercise, all things that are good for your health.
Ceiling Decor
Each month I hang things from the ceiling that pertain to our theme. Here I have purple Hexagons, silver stars and turkeys for thanksgiving.
I usually match the color of the month too. It's just another teaching tool
I use. This month our 2 yr old Paityn learned hexagon before everyone else. Thats her favorite word this month. She's so cute.

Kota The Triceratops Dinosaur
Kota is our Newest addition to day care. This dinosaur is Awesome.
Kota the Triceratops toy is a ride-on dinosaur that is about as close as
you'll get to a real pet dinosaur.
Animatronic, life-size baby dinosaur stands over 3 feet tall and comes to “life” with realistic sounds and motion! With a realistic scaly look in a soft furry fabric, lifelike movements, and lots of personality.Responds to your voice and touch with roaring and laughing sounds, and expressive tail, head, eye, mouth and horn movements. He even eats a leafy snack, and sniffs your hand. You can sit on the triceratops toy's back and hold on for a roaring, bouncing ride set to adventurous music.

Summer Time Pool Fun
Whether we are playing in the big pool or the little pool, the kids love being wet. We have lots of water toys to play with. Safety first, Sun screen then we all get into our tubes and swimmies. When we are done we sit and relax by the pool in our beach chairs.
Fresh air and outdoor fun
Enjoying the outdoors.
Parachute Play
They just love the parachute. We put small blow up balls ontop and have them try to toss them off.
Mr Bubble Bear
Just because he has a santa hat on doesnt mean we can't use him all year. He is so popular that we must keep him out all year long.
Below Jack & Paityn can't stop giggleing as they try to catch all the buubles without popping them.

My Geoboard
I made this geoboard years ago. Its easy to make but very time consuming. I used a 25" X 48" Pegboard and I painted it white. I bought alot of golf tees and painted them white as well.I stuck the tees in styrofoam to paint them. I had a hard time finding tees that were long enough. They had to be ordered but now I have seen some at Walmart. I painted some different colors too to make the shapes. Then I hot glued the tees on, glueing the colored ones first. You must use a very "hot" glue gun. There are 22 tees down and 46 tees across. (1012 total). I did paint lots of extras in case some fell out and they have occasionally. I added some trim to make it look complete. The kids love it. I bought a lot of different colored rubber bands as well as different sized. Some are thin, some are thick and wide, some are small and some are very large.
We enjoy Field Trips as well.
The first 2 pictures are at the Public Library Park and the next 2 are at Subway. We went to Subway because we were learning about Disney and they happen to have Disney Lunch Bags with each meal.
